Dr Freed is AWESOME..!!! I have a red ear slider Ms. Murtle the Turtle that is actually 31 years old. She decided to lay an egg which she had never done in 31 years. Everyone was so supportive because we freaked out not knowing what to do. They were so kind, informative and supportive for us. They never tell you that you have to many questions. They encourage you to ask questions and communicate with them regularly. This office and the staff is totally awesome

The vets and the staff at RVG provide a very safe, open, and transparent environment to bring your pet to. We've had some really bad experiences at other offices. This was a great experience. Dr. Freid made us feel really comfortable. We knew in advance who was going to be working with our cat both for the initial exam and for the procedure. The way he comes out and talks to you publicly and transparently about diagnosis and options right there in the waiting room just showed a lot of integrity as well. Also, the layout and design of the place is well thought out, open, and attractive, so you feel comfortable while waiting. We also felt that the staff kindly shared all information whenever it was needed. Everyone on staff could tell we were stressed about our cat's condition and the operation he was to have. They all seemed to really respect that in their professional but warm tone and manor. Finally, while our cat had a fairly major procedure, he came home hardly stressed which really helped the healing. So we know he was treated kindly and respectfully. Trips to other vets left him acting "cagey" for days. Not so at RVG! Thanks Dr. Fried!

Always feel they care about my animals! They are considerate, competitively prices and knowledgeable. They also managed to get us an appointment on short notice. The picture is of our dog, she is muzzled not because she is aggressive but because she has the potential to cause damage.

I have brought all 3 of my pups here for various ailments and follow ups. I have been very satisfied with the proper diagnoses and treatment plans. I was especially impressed with the way the vet assistants/ techs were able to handle my very difficult to handle dog for the exam. Riverdale Vet Group was also so good at getting me in for my emergency visit and called up right away when they had a cancellation. The employees there really follow up and follow through. Thanks!

Just had annual check up and shots for my fur babies. Love this place. So professional and caring with the animals. Spotless, no bad odors, pet treats available. Expensive...but quality of service and preventative care of my babies is worth paying for. Glad to see PPE protocols in place. They even called the next day to see how the girls felt after shots.

We had a great experience with our 14 year old blind dog who is typically anxious. We were able to be seen within a few hours of calling to make the appointment for an ear infection. The waiting area was clean and very spacious. Both the vet tech and doctor that we spoke with were knowledgeable and calm. They carefully explained the situation and treatment options. Our dog was treated quickly and was happy and feeling better that afternoon.

I love this office. They were my (cat) fur baby's primary vet practice. The office staff, the techs, the doctors are just wonderful. I like that they're open 7 days a week and the hours are just so accommodating. When I was there, it wasn't crowded and appointments are thorough. Truly great. The only thing I don't like is that parking can be difficult at times. They helped prepare me to take Oreo with us, on the plane, for the family vacation. They also collaborate with another vet office if needed. When my fur baby passed away at 19 it was difficult. The staff were all just so kind, sympathetic, and compassionate. It wasn't just business, they didn't rush me. They were caring and I appreciated that very much. I know when I adopt another cat fur baby, they will will be there to help me provide them with a long and loving life. Thank you Riverdale Vets practice!

I have 5 cats and I really enjoy bringing them to this clinic because everyone treats me and my cats with a lot of love and care and everything is explained and very understanding and the price is affordable. My cat knight had a hurt leg and my smallest cat Luna needed shots.everything went smooth. The decisions are made between me and the doctor and the nurses for what's best for my cats. The clinic is organized, clean and very friendly. I love going and my cats are all healthy thanks to you. Thank you everyone for the support and love.

I wanted to share a sincere note of appreciation following my recent visits. Yesterday, I left feeling very upset due to an uncomfortable interaction at the front desk. However, I felt it was important to follow up today because my dog Luna is currently going through a serious gastrointestinal illness. This past month has been extremely stressful, with ER visits, specialists, and constant care for my baby girl. It has been emotionally and financially draining. That said, today’s experience truly changed my perspective. Dr. Fried and his assistant Danny were incredibly accommodating, patient, and compassionate. Their calm and reassuring approach meant more than I can express during such a frightening time. When you’re caring for a sick pet, kindness and reassurance matter just as much as treatment. I also want to acknowledge the receptionist today, who was very warm and thoughtful. I was worried about having Luna sit in the waiting area with other dogs, and a kind staff member (I wish I had gotten her name) offered to bring us into a room right away. That small gesture made a big difference in keeping Luna comfortable and reducing my stress. Additionally, I truly appreciated the fairness and transparency of today’s pricing. During ongoing medical care, it means a lot to feel supported rather than overwhelmed. Today felt compassionate and humane, and I’m very grateful. Thank you, Dr. Fried, Danny, and the kind receptionist who helped us today. Your empathy and professionalism did not go unnoticed, and it meant so much during a very difficult time.

I’ve been bringing my now 9 yr old pitbull mix here since I moved to the neighborhood in 2022, and I’ve also been bringing my second dog (my now 3 yr old shepherd mix) here since 2023. My husband and I have pet insurance for both dogs. The veterinarians in this place are fantastic and have excellent communication with pet parents. They caught a heart murmur in my senior dog and have helped us with her chronic pancreatitis. My younger pup had a stubborn bout of Giardia when we first got him from a rescue as a puppy and we were able to get him well with this clinics help. I know some people complain about not being able to go into the back exam room with their pets to see the doctor, but I feel my dogs probably behave better when I’m not in the room for their exam (as I’m sure is the case for most dogs even if they’re parents won’t admit it). My dogs are never overly stressed about going with a tech to be taken to the back, so that indicates to me that the animals are treated perfectly fine back there. I also appreciate talking to the doctor without my hyper younger dog present to distract me from the conversation. The prices for treatment have never been surprising or seemed too high. This is a great place to take your pet for well thought out care, I’d recommend it to anyone.
